Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour Book Review (2020)

This book is the result of the long investigation of authors Marti Rulli and Dennis Davern as they write the biography of Natalie Wood. It can be very much described as a biography because they do tend to write a lot about her entire life.

But as you can see from this book review of Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour, later on in the book they focus mostly on the mysterious death of Natalie that was unclear to anyone how exactly it happened. Marti and Dennis are amazing authors who have managed to hang in there and investigate this mysterious story for decades.

First, let’s introduce who Natalie Wood is. She lived in the period between 1938 and 1981 as her life mysteriously ended near or on the yacht called Splendour, but more on that later. She was a Russian- American actress who actually began her career at a very, very young age, the age of 4 to be exact.

Having proven herself as a pretty good actress even at that age, she was later offered a co-starring role in Miracle on 34th Street at the age of 8. She went on to become a Hollywood star as a young adult. Natalie also managed to earn herself three Oscar nominations before she was 25.

Quite the achiever she was and the story of her death is definitely a tragic one as it was left in mystery for all that time until this interesting book by Marti and Dennis showed up that explains what they have managed to find out about her mysterious death.

Before Natalie died, she was married to her second husband, Robert Wagner and had children of her own. Her story and her life end near or on a yacht called Splendour, as it is a mystery it was never clear if her death was on the actual yacht. Robert Wagner, her husband, actually published a best-selling memoir of his called Pieces of My Heart, in which he writes about the story of how Natalie died.

There was, however, a lot of suspicion on whether what he is saying is true and the authors of this book decided to take a look for themselves and see what the actual truth is. As you find out from this Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour book review, their story will be quite different than the one that is in Robert’s memoir.

Marti and Dennis have truly done a lot of painstaking work to bring you their conclusion on the story regarding the death and life of Natalie Wood as they truly wished to let everyone know the actual truth of this woman who had everything to live for before she mysteriously died.

Their in-depth examination of her life will make sure to bring some clarity in her story and clear up the confusion on the many different things that different people say about the true story.
